Ok so I found the song I want to walk down the aisle to, only problem is…
It’s straight from the newest twilight movie sound track. gag. Such a great song, now tainted.
1. i’m not a fan of the series in anyway
2. I don’t want my walk down the aisle to seem like the creation of a pittyful fan who is trying to recreate a fictional vampire wedding???
sigh if you haven’t figured it out yes the song is christina perri a thousand years.
it’s perfect in my opinion. here it is if you haven’t heard it
So, should I just use it, or is it going to seem kitsch
kitsch- tasteless copy of an extant style of art or a worthless imitation of art of recognized value. The concept is associated with the deliberate use of elements that may be thought of as cultural icons while making cheap mass-produced objects that are unoriginal
Oh I just wanted to add, I’m not trying to belittle any one who likes the series, it’s just not me. I’m literally no fun at all (lol) and hate fantasy stuff for the most part, especially gooshy love stories. lol

I have listened to this song a very unhealthy amount of times (nothing to do with Twilight; it’s a beautiful song!)

I have heard the song, I HAVE seen the movies and I am kind of a fan BUT I didn’t even realise it was from the movie… I don’t know if most of your guests would either… If you love the song use it… My song was used on an ad for a tv show back when I met my Fiance – I doubt anyone else will notice, I only remember as I associated that song with Fiance 🙂

I watched the movie and just listened to your link. I didn;t even realize it was from the movie, so I don’t think your guest will realize it either, unless they watched the movie multiple times

If you want the song I say go for it. It wasn’t written exclusively for that movie (to my knowledge,) it’s a pretty popular song, and 20, 30, 40 years from now nobody will care that it was in Twilight. I’ve seen the movie in question and if I was at your wedding and saw you walk down the aisle to that song it wouldn’t even cross my mind. I would think “aw, that’s a really sweet and unique song to walk down the aisle to!” If you had Bella’s dress and ring to go with it, THAT’S another story 😉

ah =] what would I do without wedding bee!! Drive everyone around me crazy asking silly questions that’s what!

I’ve heard it’s not actually in the movie. I hate the series, both the books and the movies, so I wouldn’t know if that’s true or not.
I love the song but I also feel like it’s tainted with something terrible lol.
I think you should go ahead and use it though, because then you can associate it with your wedding and not that series.
(I can’t even bring myself to type the name of the series, how pathetic lol)

@LunaMin: her youtube channel says it was written for the girl and vampire in it lol

That’s a beautiful song! And who cares what everyone else thinks of it, as long as you and your hubby like it. 🙂

I think unless all your guests are big Twilight fans who’ve seen the movies multiple times no one will know that’s where it came from. It’s a beautiful song, you should use it.

I’m using that song as well and it has nothing to do with Twilight… I say go for it

This is a beautiful song. Like PPs have said, I’ve seen the movie but don’t remember the song. Go for it!

If no one told me that was from Twilight I wouldn’t have known. Don’t worry about it. 🙂

I associate the song with Twilight, but I still like the song. Itwas, as a previous poster stated, written for Bella and Edward.
