We’re walking down the ailse to “God Only Know’s” by the Beach Boys and it’ll probably just be a recording!

I’m currently debating this:

1) my brother offered to play the violin for me to walk down the aisle to, so if he doesn’t flake out it’ll be an instrumental version of “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” (my maternal grandma’s favourite song; she passed in 2007). Downside to this is I need to find another song for my BM’s to walk down to, and decide if that song would be a solo violin part or a song over the sound system.

or

2) Play Canon in D for the entire processional, but that means my brother can’t do it since it’s a quartet piece. In that case it would be a recording on the sound system.

What would you do??

Train’s “Marry Me” as I walk down the aisle. I do not know if it will be live or on an ipod lol

Ever since I was a little girl I always thought I’d be walking down to Bittersweet Symphony, and unless I find something better it will be that. The entire ceremony will just be played from a cd.

I’m still undecided. It definitely won’t be a traditional song though.

Some of the contenders are Sunshine on my Shoulders – John Denver and Divided Sky originally by Phish – but an acoustic recording from the Trey show a few weeks ago in Princeton. Definitely leaning towards acoustic Trey. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m doing Canon D which I know, how typical. But I still remember when I was 6 years old and on my old IBM computer they had this song and as soon as I heard it I fell in love with it and wanted it as my wedding song. So 19 years later I don’t care if its overused its going to be my song! ha ha

Its going to probably be speakers….playing a track or getting someone to do an acoustic version of it…or finding one…

and my choices are

Bittersweet Symphony (cus I love the 90s like that)

or Wild Horses by The Sundays

or Sade-By Your side.

These are also the choices for my first dance as well ๐Ÿ˜›
