What if you turned the whole place around, so that the staircase is at the back and the chairs face away from it?

Your ceremony would be on ground level then, but that shouldn’t be a big problem.

I was just about to suggest what  Daydreamwanderer said!!! What is on the outside of the windows? parking lot? garden?

Could you turn it 90 degrees so that you come down the stairs, turn and walk up the aisle? so the windows would be on the left and the stairs on the right, and you’d be getting married in that doorway looking thing?

Or what’s on the other side, across from the hallway? Either way, windows on the left or right, you could come down the stairs 🙂

If daydreamwanderer’s idea doesn’t work out, I’d say it’d be fine to come down the stairs behind the alter. The only thing is any dress train will need a lot of positioning after such a turn.

Love the look of coming down stairs in the dress!
