@futuremrs_l15:  I’m about a year away from our own wedding, but I don’t think the walk from The Lord Elgin to the NAC is too long at all! I would feel silly getting transport just for that

@futuremrs_l15:  I would totally walk! It’s not far, though I would probably have some sort of back up plan incase of rain!

Are you using the rooftop of the NAC?

They are so close together I think it would be fine as long as the weather is ok.  Perhaps one of your family members could be your back up and give you a quick lift if its rainy.

Oh yeah, just walk that! It is not far at all – definitely walkable. If you are worried, wear flats for the walk and pick your dress up off the ground. You will definitely get some honks 🙂

Also, you could go there some day and do the walk and see if you are comfortable with it.

we took a taxi to around the corner from the park we had the ceremony in and walked the rest of the way. then we walked from the ceremony to reception. we got LOTS of honks, waves, cheers, people taking photos on their phones etc. it was fun! and I wasnt even wearing a big dress!

we also took a cheesy abbey road style photo on a pedestrian crossing. had to do it!

@futuremrs_l15:  I’m in the same boat – it’s literally a 7 minute walk for me and I think I might just do a taxi.  The walk is short, but I’m afraid of getting my dress dirty on the way to the ceremony.
