I really wish this was my style! I have such a traditional stick up my a##. It’s going to be so much fun!

If it were me I would definitely have Disney ornaments and obviously you could have lots of Disney music. you could make the dance floor into a magic carpet! You could have a different Disney movie theme for each table. Maybe it’s a bit much for your tastes but you could get masks of different characters? Face painters? I think I’m getting carried away here.

Are you going to wear a themed gown for the reception?

Also a themed cake. And the guest book could be made to look like a big fairytale storybook.

Yeah have ears for sure. I say go with the pick ups! Go all out! If I think of anything else I will come back and post.

What about glass slippers filled with sweets? I don’t know how easy it is to find glass slippers though :/

My Maid/Matron of Honor interned at disney for about 2 years… so needless to say she wanted Disney to be there somewhere…. she actually went subtle with it and just like the parks… she started hiding mickey ears in parts of her reception.. For example her mom (who also did my cake) put a hidden set on her cake… Here’s another example… can you find Mickey????

Found this on another wedding website… but this is pretty cute and not overboard/birthday party Disney

I also found this

You can also make the classic “Mickey Head” shape with centerpieces. Make flowers or candles low profile so when you stand up, You can see it but when you’re sitting, you can see over it. So you see this when you stand…but not when you sit. If that makes sense…”

I think this would work best if it was done in a subtle way, i.e. no Disney music or magic carpets. I like the hidden mickey ears in the cake.

@RedAngelDreamer:  +1

you can do the ‘glass slippers’ and princess gown (which doesn’t necessarily mean ballgown) and add subtle touches that will look nice
