Just thought I would see who else is out here that is making the attempt at becoming a real Bee!
Since I found Weddingbee, this has been my biggest ambition. I love to blog and this site is a dream-come-true for someone who wants to DIY, get a bunch of creative ideas I don’t have myself and have some moral support on all the tough wedding issues!!
I got engaged on October 17, and started reading Weddingbee in the beginning of November. Ironically, I had already started a wedding blog on my wedding website because it seemed like a fun thing to do, and because Fiance (and FMIL) live 2000 miles away and I wanted them to feel a part of everything. I applied to be a bee last week and am DYING to know if I will make it!
I would love to check out some of your wanna bee blogs and see what you are doing!
My wanna bee blog is: http://latteloveleavinghome.blogspot.com

I applied 6 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything. I don’t know if that’s normal?

LatteLove, I’m a wannabee too! I can’t apply for many months. We have a super long engagement since the area we are booking in usually has places booked 2 years in advance! Here is my blog:
I have a 2nd one about more bridesmaid things, since I am in my first wedding next year:

I’m a wannabee too!! I’ve been stalking weddingbee for 6 months now, but I’m not even engaged yet. Based on where my boyfriend and I are in life right now (just graduated from school and working full time, but 4 hours away from each other), I’m guessing our wedding won’t be for another 2.5 to 3 years! So I have a long time to wait

I am TOTALLY a WannaBee. I can’t apply yet (ALMOST), but I have started my blog in the meantime. My goal in my blog is to give tips about how to save money (we are on a VERY tight budget), also unique things that I discover, and well, just the whole wedding planning process in general. I think my blog will be especially useful to San Diego Brides, since I have some AMAZING vendors, that I would LOVE to give the highest praise.
Check it out and let me know what you think…

another wannabee here …
I love this post, it gives me so many more blogs to read!
I kept mine on theknot, because I started it there early on wanted to keep everything together. http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/blogs/zoekat28/default.aspx

Relentless bride, if you blog elsewhere, you can’t blog for weddingbee?

- Wedding: June 2008 - Winery in the Gold Country
Hi LatteLove! We’re happy to see that you applied! I believe we got your app on November 26, so it still hasn’t been quite a month yet. We like to follow brides for a little while to see how regularly they blog and all that good stuff, so hang in tight with us for a little bit and keep on blogging! We’re always excited to see new potential bees, so if you’re on the fence about applying, you should!

I did have a question peng, is it better to apply slightly earlier so you can see the 15 posts/2 weeks as they come (including a month for review). ex. applying 9 months ahead of time vs 8. Or really, does it not matter and I shoudl apply whenever?
Thanks! good luck to everyone!

I was told that if you blog on another site (I do for GetMarried TV Blogger Brides) that you can’t be a Bee … but i was told this by another Blogger and not by anyone at Weddingbee.com – so before you just take my word. definitely look into it. I’ve never investigated if it was true or not… but i definitely understand if it is…

- Wedding: September 2009 - Rancho Bernardo Inn
I’m hoping to apply, but I think I’m still a few months away. My wedding is Septermber 2009. I’m just getting ready to transition from the collecting ideas to the starting my DIY projects this month. However, in the meantime I’ve developed an addiction to this site.
Feel free to check out my blog: http://www.myweddingreport.com/blog/
I just wrote about getting up the guts to go try on wedding dresses for the first time tomorrow. Any advice is greatly appreciated. haha
Also, leave me a message so that I can add you to my bloglist. I try to keep it as updated as possible with all the wonderful blogs that I come across. It’s fun catching up with everyone’s plans.
@hisMRS- I’m a San Diego bride too!! When and where are you getting married?

Jenn H – I think you should have gotten a confirmation email that your app was received? Mrs. Penguin can clarify….

I did receive a confirmation email, just no response since then. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. I was just wondering if the long wait time was normal. Thanks!
