Hi ladies, I am so confused right now. I am 10 months into my engagement. Due to me now attending my Fiance church, which we really want to get married into, I have to meet the pastor (who is soooooo busy). My problesm are:
- The possibility of getting married in the pastor’s office, which means no dream wedding: no dream wedding dress, bridesmaids, etc.
- There is a really slim chance of getting a dream ceremony but not a dream reception. Since there wont be any party music for dancing. There will be christian songs (soooo ok with honestly) but no shake ur booty music.
- I AM SO AFRAID my guests will leave early due to the lack of shake ur booty music. I DON’T WANT A BORING WEDDING. 🙁
- ALOT of my friends are party-goers (not me) so i am so afriad they will be bored.
Please don’t chastise just wanna let it out a bit. No pity necessary …lol…anty BEE experienced this?

Can you not have the reception at a different place so that you can have what you want?

Religiously we aren’t supposed to have such music, anywhere, as we will be hypocrites -1 way in church another way outside. Honestly there are some beautiful songs in church but i mean it will be only non-booty shakkin (lol) music.

If it were me I would probably find a church or pastor that was cool with the wedding I envisioned OR just go with the restrictions if it was a church I really loved.

Hun, to be completely honest… if there is no party (even if the songs are beautiful), the wedding will be pretty boring. When you go to a wedding…people talk about the food, the flowers and the fun! I think without the “party” atmosphere that you are elminating the whole fun aspect. It is fine if it is what you want for sure, but you say you dont want a boring wedding. What exactly do you consider boring?
