I’ll go for it!! Between the end of the wedding and the stress of this semester I have put on about 10 lbs I don’t want (and could probably stand to lose another 10 past that).  I’m not a gym goer but I’m working on taking my puppy for more long walks and going hiking once a week.  Food is definitely a bugaboo for me – I either get stressed and can’t eat, or I get depressed and eat everything! PM me and lets see if we can keep eachother on track!

Yeah, I’ll join you guys!

I gained 9 pounds post-wedding – it was health related, but now that the issue is resolved, I still find it hard to go back to my pre-wedding shape.

I eat pretty well all week, but the weekends kill me, because I use food as a treat for being good all week. Ridiculous, I know!! My other soft spot is popcorn. Lots and lots of it, many times per week.

I workout on a very regular basis, in fact I will be completing my first 10k race this saturday. After the race, I’ll stop running for a while though, because I’m getting bored with it, I’ll switch to cycling.

So count me in!

I’m with you guys too!  I just recently became fully committed on losing weight and eating healthy.  Since May 1st I have lost 7 lbs, and want to lose 10 more before the wedding.  I am counting calories, walking for 1 1/2 hours a night, doing crunches and push-ups.  Anyone have any other ideas?

You should join WeightWatchers. It really makes you accountable for what you put in your body. We really have no sense of portion sizes and this really helps you see what you should be eating. I’ve been on it for a few months and have lost 15 pounds so far. Exercise is just as important though so you should try and go to the gym atleast 3x a week.

Good luck! Once you start losing weight it’ll be easier to stay on track because you don’t want to undo your hard work.

I just bought a weight watchers cook book last week and have been using it.  I was so used to all those fatty foods, that now I feel like I’m starving.  I know it will be worth it in the end thought!
