k8marx:  What exactly do you mean by simple? I consider my ring unique and low profile, but not sure about simple, there’s some swirly metalwork going on, and the center stone is a decent size at .74ct. Would you be interested in twig-inspired rings? If you’re interested in unique and low-profile, I would look into bezel settings. There are some really beautiful ones on etsy. Also, if you haven’t already, I would go into a jeweler and try rings on in person. What you like in practice might be different than in theory. But if you’re still drawn to a stack, go for it!

k8marx:  you mean no e-ring with a center diamond? Like just all bands? I think that would be pretty and unique. My SIL wears two bands, so basically her e-ring is a half eternity band. I think they’re pretty and easy to wear.

love mine! Any excuse to post. Bezel, low set, comfortable, unusual but still a traditional solitaire.

I would try on wedding bands and see if you want to wear a channel set band, low profile, sparkly and safe. I have a channel set rhr that I love. Its channel set. I would have happily used that as my engagement ring!

I think a set of stacking bands is a wonderful idea! If I remember correctly Emily Maynard (the girl who was on the bachelor then the bachelorette) has a set of bands instead of a traditional engagement ring.

If I didn’t get an ER I would get a band like one of these

Here is my set. My engagement ring is only 4mm high and my band sits even lower.

Here are a few of my bands. I don’t usually wear them together, but I think your idea is really cool!

FutureDrAtkins:  I love the second ring you posted! My e-ring is a hexagon and that ring would compliment it perfectly! But… the last thing I need to spend money on right now is more jewelry for myself. Sad

Here is a picture of my E ring and my band, they are both very low key and original (well i think so anyway!!)

Sorry for the huge pictures I don’t know how to make them smaller!
