@lanny:  You posted this in dress, and I don’t know if you’ve already bought one, but if you haven’t purchase used or get one from a sample sale. I got my dress used for about 1/4th retail.

DIY flowers, centerpieces, etc.. Do inexpensive invitations (we used VistaPrint). Can you buy your own alcohol? There are so many ways to cut costs and still have an elegant, beautiful wedding! Hopefully your venue is so beautiful it doesn’t need much decoration.

123print is cheaper then vista print/ i used both to print different parts of– save the dates were from vista print and invites were from 123 print.

buying a used adress or borrowing a dress from your friends and making it “different” color peticoat or crinoline or a sash

I got my dress at Davids on sale and with a coupon, we are using family heirloom bands for our ceremony so we can save money (we’ll purchase our own rings after the wedding when we have money again,) DJ versus band, VistaPrint for ALL of our stationary (they always have 50% off specials,) DIY decorations, NON-FLORAL centerpieces, instead of paying an officiant which can be hundreds of dollars, have a friend or family member get ordained for the day ($25 or $50) and craft the ceremony yourself, tuxes at Men’s Wearhouse because the groom gets a free one with 5 rentals, etc. We had to cut the budget in a major way and this is what we did…

@asianyoushi:  Does 123print have a lot of deals? I would only use Vistaprint with a deal. We got all of our invitations for $50 with a deal $130 worth of invitation stuff for $50.
