I need some advice! I want to do a history of myself and FI’s relationship at the wedding. My original inspiration is the DIY aisle runner with the timeline on it, which I LOVE, but I’m not sure if I can justify the price (photo transfer paper isn’t cheap). We are gettin married and having the reception at the same venue, so some guests that arrive right before the ceremony will barely get to see it.
Does anyone else have any other ideas? I’ve a very crafty, artistic person and have a lot of time to work on it, so I’m not afraid of time consuming ideas, I just want something that explains our relationship and gives the not-so-close guests a peek into our lives.

Here are 2 things we used for our wedding to let people know who we are and our “story”.
These were our table numbers with obviously different numbers that meant something to us.
This was our save the date– well, we copied this one to fit “us”. We got SOOOO many compliments on this and I still love it! Definitely one of my favorite things we did. You could always make a large one and display it somewhere?

Pew markers with pics of the two of you. You can get the frames at the Dollar Store>
large pics at the reception or in the lobby of the church if there is one
Get engineers prints at the copy store- Staples does them for $4.99- 3×4′. They are printed on very thin paper.
Use spray adhesive to attach them to foamcore or foam insulation board.
you can place photos in jars of ordinary cooking oil for a vintage look
you can do a timeline on a chalkboard

How about something like this? Maybe over your guest book signing table or at the entrance to the wedding/reception.
