Fifteen pounds isn’t bad. A couple – three months. What kind of diet/exercise routine do you currently have?

I know how you feel. I don’t know when my SO will propose, but when I found out he was looking at rings I realized it was time to loose the 25 pounds I’ve been meaning to lose for the past three years.

I agree with Elvis, 15 founds isn’t a huge amount of weight to lose. That being said, it doesn’t mean that any amount of weight is “easy” to lose.

Start incorporating more exercise into your life, eat less carbs, and take in about 1300-1400 calories a day and the weight should start to come off. It takes a deficit of 3500 calories to loose a pound.

I’ve just started on my weight loss journey and I’ve lost four pounds in two weeks. It’s a slow, frustrating, rewarding and emotional journey but I don’t want to be worrying about my weight during my engagement.

getting engaged is EXACTLY the motivation I needed to lose my university weight.. I am at an all time high in terms of wanting to get this done and look great again! With an engagement around the corner, I am at least doing everything I can to make healthy eating and excersising a priority so that when it DOES happen, I am not all self conscious being in the spot light a little bit… especially for those engagement photos!

@Sa7208:  I think losing 10-15 lbs by October is doable.

Stop buying foods that tempt you. Out of sight, out of mind.

Plan out your meals for the week and avoid eating out unless you can help it. If you know what you’ll be eating, it’ll be easier to avoid coming home after work, being tired, and ordering pizza.

Find some exercise that you like to do. I hate the gym. HATE. I’ll go a couple of times and then stop. I’ve had much better luck w. going swimming – I actually somewhat enjoy it.

See if you can get your SO on board w. the new healthy eating habits (but don’t force him to do anything) and exercise – it’s easier if you have a buddy.

Other than that, just keep your target in sight and you will lose weight.
