- Wedding: October 2015
Now I am not so sure. Fiance and I have had to change our wedding date, at least twice, due to financial reasons. Now that we have settled on a date, we are looking into venues for reception. Was going to have a simple reception at my church hall, but we don’t really want that for the stress that would be involved with set-up, clean-up, etc. We really liked this restaurant in town that opened a banquet hall on premises. Their prices were really good, including a beverage menu. However, they have changed owners and the entire atmosphere of the place has changed, and not for the better. It has been said that they opened the banquet hall to draw in more people since dining there has dwindled. There is another hall locally, which I love, but is a little out of our price range. There are not a lot of choices here, and we don’t know what to do. Do we stick with the place that we wanted, or try to get the money up for the other place? They do have a reasonable menu, but I don’t want my guests to have the same menu that they get for parties and funeral luncheons!(It is a popular spot for that). We need advice.
