I know this post is stale, but I wanted to point out that it IS possible, not easy, but POSSIBLE to get a refund and return at David’s.  You have to raise some very, very serious hell about things, but it can happen.

If you don’t love the Galina, I would call the store manager at David’s and ask if you can meet with her to discuss the way you were pressured by her staff.  Go in very prepared, plead your case and see where it gets you.  And be SWEET before you pull out the big guns!

Best of luck!

@carends10: that dress is Chardonnay, not Charlotte.  I only know because I tried it on and fell.in.love.  i’ts floaty and gorgeous and the train is to DIE for.  I wo uld have purchased it but it doesn’t give me the shape that I want. Of course, my vote is for the Maggie, good luck!!

I absolutely *ADORE* that Galina dress.  I am completely in love with it.  If you decide on the Maggie, and we are a similar size, I might buy it from you!  If you’re interested, let me know!

Never go to Davids Bridal for alterations, they charge you up the wazoo for something a seamstress can do for half the price. When I bought my prom dress there they tried to change me over 150 dollars to HEM it…the seamstress hemmed and added what I wanted for 70 and it was beautiful
