I am not one to be negative or anything, but I wanted to warn/share this in case anyone else decides to order anything of importance from american bridal. I ordered all my bridesmaid gifts (and for our moms too) from american bridal last week (7 days ago). My wedding is in less than a month and I made sure everything would be there on time (though cutting it close). Just checked on my order today and it said "under review". Emailed to check on what that meant and was sent an email from American Bridal saying that all the gifts are all on backorder, no estimated date of arrival and sorry you weren’t notified. In my opinion, that is not acceptable.
If you order something from them and its important, I would check every day to make sure it’s happening. Unfortuantely for me, it’s a 2-part gift, one part from American Bridal, and I already have part 2. Hopefully I can find a replacement in time, but now I am sure that rush delievery and personalization may be an issue. Really didn’t need any extra stress, but oh well! I guess the lesson learned is that even if you get order confirmation, that doesn’t mean anything…..

Thanks 🙂 Well, I’m looking for a cute jewelry roll. An all fabric one. There are a bunch out there, but this is the one I actually liked! I bought all the girls and mom’s cute jewelry off etsy.com (which I found out about while perusing the boards here!).
What also is totes annoying is that american bridal is the same as bags-purses-totes and mybridesmaidsgifts.com…which all still show the jewelry roll in stock and will let you order them! I thought I was saved and then decided to call the bags-purses-totes.com customer service number (which is different than the american bridal one) just to find out that they are all the same company and they can’t explain why it still shows that its in stock on all the websites…all claiming if you order today, it will be at your house by July 7th!

Hubby ordered his groomsmen’s gifts from there as well. When he got the package he saw one was missing and checked online and sure enough, back order. No warning or anything. Luckily he got it THE DAY BEFORE we left for our wedding. He also ordered about a month before the weedding, making sure it should arrive on time shipping wise. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a one time thing I see.

I am just happy I checked instead of waiting another week…and…I just found super cute one’s on etsy (my new favorite website) and I get to support a crafty human instead of a thoughtless company! Yay!
