Yeah. I went pretty crazy on Black Friday.. weeks after I miscarried, lol. I’ve got nothing to tell you: just don’t get anything big like the stroller or car seat. Their warranties will expire before the baby is born. Plus new models come out annually.

Eta: oh and don’t buy seasonal clothes. You don’t want a snowsuit for 3 month olds and end up that your baby is too big by the time she/he can wear it.

You’re not crazy x

I bought a classic Winnie the Pooh book set for my future baby 5 years ago πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I fell in love with it. I was only 22!!

We only ttc last October. And conceived in October thankfully!!

I’m 16 weeks now and the nursery is almost set up already lmfao. And that book set I’ve held onto for years now fits perfectly in our winnie the pooh themed room. My tastes don’t seem to change!

I also bought my wedding dress before I got engaged. Oh well πŸ™‚

NicoleLyn1218 :  thanks. I started trying Feb 2017 so, it’s a bummer… We really thought we would have a baby at home by now, now still be trying. But the good news is I *can* get pregnant so i feel pretty confident the stuff won’t go to waste.

I dunno if I’d bother with wipes or diapers. That’s a lot of storage space wasted for at least 40 weeks… Plus those are items that go on sale all the time.  But onesies are always useful. πŸ™‚

I got myself a boon drying rack and we actually use it already: it’s the best for wine glasses!

NicoleLyn1218 :  we decided to start buying diapers once we hit the 2nd trimester. Buy one box every other week, different sizes. Just so it’s not that big of a hit when our midget arrives. We’re waiting to buy clothes and what not once we find out the gender. We decided to leave the big stuff for the baby shower.

On the flip side, I’m near third trimester and dreading buying all the stuff for the baby. I’m not big into buying things in general, and then I hate not knowing what I’ll really need and what will be superfluous. Too many variables!

Darling Husband and I decided not to buy baby stuff until we need it (almost like a superstitious thing haha) but I stare at baby clothes in shops ALL the time. I can’t wait to get that BFP and buy some onesies or tiny socks!

If it makes you feel better, we aren’t starting to TTC until 2019 (NEXT YEAR!) and I bought a Lulabu Baby Wrap shirt 😳 Baby fever makes you do weird things. It’s toootally fine (that’s what I keep telling myself)

craigslistgirl :  Yup.  I’m 35 weeks and my husband sat me down this week and pleaded with me to please start buying baby things, because who knows when she’ll decide to arrive and he wants to be ready.  This notion of buying things before even getting pregnant is completely foreign to me.  (We also have zero storage space and had a rough road to pregnancy, so the combination of nowhere to put not-yet-necessary items and fear of jinxing things has been winning out.)

We bought the crib nearly a year before we were even TTC! It’s was a special crib and we found an incredible deal on a gently used one and couldn’t passed it. It did made me a little comfortable though and when we moved to our house (6 months before our wedding and TTC) we were paranoid someone helping us would see it. Our course when our parents toured the new house they went straight to the wardrobe where it was « hidden » … oh well! We were luckily pregnant soon enough and we are using it now but if we hadn’t been able to conceive we would have just sell it.
