Hi to everybody first of all. The big day has already been & gone & it was a dream of mine come true, but there has been a little other one aswell & this is it. I so want to be a bride again & look the same as I did on the wedding day, have some fun in the dress & do something like this
I havent told anyone yet not even my husband or my mum but Im hoping they will understand & go along with it & watch me. Im really looking forward to doing this but a little nervous too & as for the dress i’ll just have it cleaned after & keep it.

You want to have paint poured on yourself in your wedding dress? Wow, that’s an extreme TTD!

That’s like being slimed on the old Nickelodeon. Not sure I would ever want to do it though lol.

Im guessing this is weird then as not many people have said much 🙁
@ daydreamwanderer : its not paint, its gunge made from food colouring & should wash out easier than paint. thanks for your reply tho 🙂

It’s called a trash the dress and is becoming more common in North America – if you want to do it talk to your husband and go for it!
I couldn’t do it I am too sentimental about my dress…. but I did get dressed up and go take pictures at the park I was supposed to get married in (it poured on my wedding day) 2 weeks after my wedding.

I think that would be awesome, make sure you post pictures/video here if you do it! Be prepared for the possibility of your dress being damaged though, dresses aren’t cleaned the same way other clothes are.

@chantelle0185: still sounds pretty icky to me!
I’m hoping to do a TTD in the water, but will stay away from food coloring.
What kind of food coloring do they use that washes out? I have stained so many clothes while coloring frosting for cupcakes – I’d love to have one that washes out!

I think that this just doesn’t look fun… not in a wedding gown at least! But I think that a trash the dress session in a waterfall could be beautiful and fun!

@ddw: well i was hoping it might wash out, maybe a good dry cleaners will be able, but if it doesnt then the dress will be dyed what ever colour is put over me thats just part of TTD i guess but im still keeping the dress after . Ive seen a few where people have messed around with food/wine etc & have caused a load of mess but i still think this could be more fun that that & waterfalls lakes & beaches & stuff.
