- Wedding: May 2012
My cousin and I are getting married eight months apart. Hers is coming up this October, while mine is in June, 2012. Being a teacher, I’m wanting to get as much accomplished before I head back to school so it’s less to worry about while I’m balancing teaching and finishing my master’s degree (apparently, I’m a glutton for punishment :-)). I’ve been looking at bridesmaid dresses and wanted to start getting an opinion from some of my bridesmaids.
My cousin and I are in each other’s weddings. I wanted to send an e-mail message to my bridesmaids, asking if there was anything they’d like me to take into consideration when looking for dress styles (only one of my five bridesmaids live in town, one is two hours away, one is four hours away, and the other two are 2,000 miles away).
My question is, is it okay to start asking for input on my bridesmaid dresses when we haven’t even gotten through her wedding yet? I don’t want to upset her or try to steal her thunder in any way. Honestly, I probably really could wait, because I’ll be at the eight month mark when her wedding is over. I’m just excited to start planning and I’ve had some of my other bridesmaids already ask me about dresses and such. I’m just curious to hear everyone else’s opinions. Thanks!
