I love your ring and wouldn’t change a thing! So classy and gorgeous. It’s literally perfect. Maybe have some different bands to change up the look?

What about adding a decorative wedding band? Something like this:

lunamoon:  I really love your solitaire and the size of the diamond is perfect on your finger! I have a smaller marquise diamond at 0.83ct (but it still looks pretty big for its size) and I had a custom setting made for my diamond.

I went for simplicity also as I think a busy ring would not work well with a marquise. Here is my marquise ring, with channel set diamond shank – it is not too thick with the shank at 2.25mm. I went with channel set diamonds as I worry about pave melee falling out as I like to clean my diamond rings often!  The cathedral design also allows me to stack different wedders with it.

This is what a ring with diamonds on the shank would look like, but picture a bigger diamond (yours):

I think it looks nice paired with plain band or with another diamond band for the extra bling!

All these beautiful marquise diamonds! My daughter has one. OP I love your ring as is and I think an eternity band to jazz things up would look classic and beautiful.

lunamoon:  I’m not normally a fan of solitaires, but I LOVE yours! I agree with others that you can just add bling with a wedding band. A nice sparkly eternity band would be beautiful!

lunamoon:

I agree with the PPs who suggest shopping for wraps and/or waiting until you’ve been married and grown used to the w-band, too. Then decide after some more test-driving.

But if I were to reset your solitaire, I’d keep it plain shank but set it east-west. Just my $0.02.

If you do reset, please keep it in yellow gold. So pretty.

lunamoon:   I love your ring as is! It’s classic and elegant and never goes out of style. But I did have a marquis reset for my soon to be SIL. It turned out beautiful and more modern without being overly distracting.
