Donate them to Goodwill, the Salvation Army, or a local organization.  Especially if they’re in good shape.  For things that are really old/not in good condition, can you use them for rags?  Like, for cleaning or whatever.

    And then have fun!

@ChellFish22:  If your clothes are in good shape and relatively current in style, you could sell them at a consignment shop. You will get a % of the sale price. Most consignment shops donate unsold clothes to charity, and mail you a cheque for those that did sell.

Around here there is Plato’s Closet, but they mostly take teen wear. There are are a few shops that take work wear and more mature outfits. You could also try ebay if you have name brand items in good shape.

I started this process post baby!!! I decided to completely revamp my style and restart my wardrobe so that it would be cohesive and actually have some direction. No more buying things that I kind of like just because they’re on rock bottom sale. I have to love love love it and it has to look good on me! Before it was a ton of stuff I’ve had for forever mixed with some new stuff but none of it really went together. Plus pregnancy made my feet go up almost an ENTIRE SHOE SIZE, and they never went back, so out went all of my pretty pretty shoes πŸ™
I have bags and bags of things to donate and one bag full of a few special things  like a Calvin Klien blazer and a few Anthropologie dresses that I’ll try and resale. Fun stuff πŸ™‚

@ChellFish22:  It’s definitely not crazy to purge your closet of things that don’t fit or are not as loved anymore! Especially prom dresses πŸ™‚ You can pass these things on so someone less fortunate can look nice too! (If you decide to donate, that is) And I TOTALLY hear you on the gift cards. I have shopping carts all across the internet full of fabulous things just waiting to make their homes in my closet.(In my dreams, HAH!) I just need to get cracking on winning the lottery or something Cool

@ChellFish22:  i would do this in a heartbeat if someone funded me! Unfortunately, I always have a hard time spending money on clothes… It goes so fast!

Can someone turn me into “What Not To Wear”? I have pretty good style but I’d love that $5000 and a shopping trip with Stacy and Clinton. πŸ™‚ I’d love to revamp my wardrobe!

Well I would love to do this too, but two things make me hesitate: finances, but also style….I really don’t know what I should be wearing!
