Hello bees π
Long time reader first time poster.
So I’m looking for opinions on warm stones.I’d love to see yours and hear your thoughts on the stigma. Why you went with a low color grade?I love my ring I do I love its personality. The colors it reflects all the colors of the rainbow. But I must admit hearing how uncommon and undesired they are saddens me. So I need some helpful thoughts.

So here are her specs.
Metal: 14ct white gold with platinum prongs.
Size:7.
Cut:very good.
Ct: over 3 total
Color: L
Clarity: Si
The center stone is 1.10 the side stones are a half ct each and the triple halos and the stones on the band make up the rest of it. I know the 6 band stones are .37 I believe. But the triple halos I’m not sure what they add up to be.

wafflegirl123 : Thank you <3 I do love it its just that its some where in between on the scale its not a “Fancey diamond”and its not even near colorless.. And I know it being warmer should not bug me at all and it usually doesn’t .. One person called it a yellow diamond and that phrase has kinda stuck in my head and made me insecure… Cause I wasn’t planning on a yellow diamond I just saw a pear a liked and took other diamonds and and had it made I didn’t think of the contrast of colors ..I was thinking of adding a yellow gold or rose gold bands to it .I guess I wish I did better research first . I was just so excited that I didn’t really research the color I was more focused on the shape and clarity of the pear that I didn’t pay enough attention to the color. I’m learning to love her for her uniqueness I just have moments where I wish she was a higher color grade.

sarahadams90 : It doesn’t really appear very yellow to me, and I’m color sensitive. Most people do not mind having a warmer or near colorness diamond as long as it has a good clarity and cut. It seems like you had no negative feelings about your ring until you received the “yellow diamond” comment. People will always say whatever they want. The onus is on you to ignore the irrelevant. I think your ring is perfect!

sarahadams90 : beautiful ring and i don’t see any color in the photos bar one. I too am very color sensitive. I think your pear is amazingly well cut and a well cut pear with no bow tie is really hard to find…I can see why you fell in love!
I got a free pair of dismond studs with a jewelry store as part of a promotion and they are the same color as your pear. I was amazed with color and totally questioning why the warmish diamonds aren’t so popular! I love a diamond that is faintly lemony and buttery whilst still having flashes of ice white!! Your ring is beautiful and I wouldn’t take the persons comment to heart. She was probably intrigued but had little knowledge of diamonds and most probably picked the wrong words to convey her interest in the uniqueness of your stone. Its gorgeous and if you don’t love it you can send it to me!!! π

I don’t know if you can see the warmth, but I have an I-colored stone. I went with a warmer color because the warmth didn’t bother me as much as the clarity. I wanted a better clarity but wanted to stay within budget. Your ring is gorgeous OP. I don’t see any color in it. It truly is stunning!

sarahadams90 : I love love love your ring!!! I too am the owner of a beautiful warm pear diamond! I’m having a custom setting done in rose gold. Right now my stone is loose and I also opted for a medium culet as I initially wanted an old cut pear stone but could not find one in the size I wanted for a reasonable price. My stone is a buttery ivory color and has tons of sparkle. You don’t see too many warm fancy cut stones. Here’s my baby 1.72 M SI

wafflegirl123 : thank you so much for your uplifting thoughts π
Yes the coment did indeed make me feel uncomfortable so much so I even contacted the jewler to see if they’d maybe offer me A similar stone with a higher color grade. I feel completely guilty about it and I know I’d miss its character if I had something else.

cmsgirl : thank you π
Yes she said it with kindness but hearing the word yellow was disheartening and I shouldn’t of been . I feel silly and shallow for feeling this way I appreciate your kind words very much.

sarahadams90 : I sadly lost my orginal Ering (a round F color). I picked a K color for the replacement because I wanted size this time. I have a M .47 pear and love the warm flashes of color. So I knew I was ok with the not “ice” color.
I’m still waiting on my K in person (the prongs have to be redone to claws)
