I have a 1.74 carat L colored faint brown in a white gold double halo. The center stone is set in a rose gold cup to enhance the warmth. Custom made by David Klass.

mjay :  awww thanks! I think warm diamonds look best in a whiter halo. It showcases the color more and really makes them pop!

One of these days I want a faint brown OEC in the U-V range in a YG bezel with an airline and halo in white gold. I’m thinking milgrain and a tri-wire shank. ❀️ I think you should go for it! And I can’t wait to see pics if you do!

mjay :  From the limited research I’ve done, antique cuts and actual antique diamonds are hard to come by. Ivy and Rose is where I’ll be going first once I’m in the market. Their prices are bananas! I prefer an old cut as well. Ooohhhhh this is exciting! What size are you thinking?

mjay :  That’s awesome that he can do warm! When I get one (way down the road) I’ll try for a stone with faint brown or an actual champagne stone. I like warmer colors, but I really want the brown on top of the low color. Not a pink brown, but something to go with yellow gold. I think it’s crazy that they’re as inexpensive as they are compared to their higher color counterpart. I prefer the brown! I guess we’re in the minority 🀷🏻‍♀️ I’ll take it though, especially if I can save some money! I’m all for a bargain!

For my forever ring I’m doing H&A, but I reeeeeeeally think I need an antique cut RHR. Haha!

I own a J color so I wont post mine, but I have noticed that warm stones that are obviously warm, look even more amazing surrounded by colorless or near colorless diamonds… it is like the near colorless diamonds are shinning a light on the main star… it looks stunning!!!

Definitely go for it!

Brian Gavin has a “cape diamond” line, I’d look into that!
