I think your ring is absolutely BEAUTIFUL as is, but I understand that it’s not what you want. (I love how unique and creative it is too!) I’d suggest looking on James Allen for a brown or champagne diamond. Even some yellows can get pretty dark brown. They have pretty reasonable prices and you can literally find any shade of diamond on there with super magnified, 3D images so you can see all the inclusions in them before you buy. My Fiance ordered my yellow diamond from there.
I can’t help but post my ring since it’s a colored diamond with a halo and yellow gold prongs:
maymrswinks: already resolved it! Just got the new ring today – look at the most recent pictures 🙂
rachelavb: Gorgeous!! What a difference the new stone makes. Is that still rose gold? Looks like a whole new ring. Congrats bee, I’m glad it all worked out!
rachelavb: Sorry for the late response! The update is lovely. Congrats!
Wow I love the brown diamond with the rose gold I never would have thought of doing that now I want another RHR lol
Wow. That is stunning. You didn’t change the setting at all right? i can’t believe the difference that a slightly different color stone makes.
rachelavb: looks absolutely gorgeous! So good you could find a solution you’re happy with!
Yay, I’m happy it worked out! And the ring now looks amazing!
Thanks everyone!! Didn’t change the setting a bit. Just a new stone. I couldn’t believe the difference! I’m over the moon with how it looks now 😍
rachelavb: I’m so happy for you! L faint browns are just stunning and I knew that one would look perfect in your rose gold setting. Although I do love your yellowish L, this one suits your ring soo much better! It’s perfect!
I know I am super late to this post. Not sure OP will see this. I have a long story at hand too and I wont get into it, but I am getting a warmer stone with brown tints. So I was of course on Bee examining everyone’s beauties. I looked at all your before pics and after/updated pics. OMGOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You knew exactly what you wanted and it looks amazing I cant believe how different the ring looked with the two different tones. Same L grade but one was yellow one was more brown and you have an eye for perfection. I kept thinking to my self as I read “Oh man I am just not sure it will change the look completely and she went through all this heart ache and challenge to change it” Boy was I wrong. It changed the ring completely for the better. Did the original jeweler come through for you or did you end up going else where? Hope you’re not too mad at your (now) husband anymore it was the jewelers fault and they are in the business of making dreams come true not creating nightmares. I have had a few run ins with bad jewelers (sales men) too until I found my now jeweler who is amazing. Congrats to your beauty and I Hope you’re still loving it.
