@futuremrsmendez:  interesting – is it the label or the font she was concerned about?  I’m trying to figure out how to address my dark purple envelopes and we’d debated doing the wrap labels.

@futuremrsmendez:  well that’s annoying. Especially because I tried to get invites to my friend’s shower hand cancelled because there was a button on the invitation but I went to THREE post offices and none were willing to hand cancel for me! And sure enough- the bride’s invitation arrived with a ripped envelope and the button missing! Booooo

This happened to me when I sent my invitations out with wrap-around labels.  About 5 out of 75 were returned back to me for that reason – the machine picked up the return address on the back as the delivery address.  Sent them out again and they were fine.

@futuremrsmendez:  I’ve seen some Bee bloggers say their post office let them hand-cancel their invitations themselves. My post offices thought I was crazy when I suggested it! Maybe I just have to go to a smaller town or something.

@futuremrsmendez:  well I learned something new today — I need to get my invitations (1) cancelled by hand at the Post Office and (2) mannually sorted.  Just took a quick look online and it looks like Canada still does this… lets hope I have no issues ๐Ÿ™‚  Thank you for posting this!
