So I decided that my plain silver favor bags needed something to jazz them up and also wanted to do a unique garland that was pretty and whimsical
Enter the DIY organza flower tutorial
http://www.reesedixon.com/2009/03/organza-flowers.html and http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/08/how-to-make-pretty-organza-flowers.html (THANK YOU VERY MUCH BTW)
So tomorrow is my daughter’s first day of high school and she is wearing an ivory lace tank with denim capris and I knew she would love a hair flower – so bought the fabric at JoAnn – $3.20 per yard (on 50% off sale with 20% of coupon)
One yard will make 15 flowers
So made the first one for her . . .
And then made a few more because they were so fun and easy – my kitty girl Bonnie did quality inspection
Finally to show off the size Bonnie agreed to model
I will make garlands out of Ivory and Pink organza flowers and do silver ones to attach to the favor bags (also silver organza)

@Grizz: I am attaching them to ivory organza ribbon 6″ apart (debating btw hot glue and sewing) – it looks so pretty – not sure how or if it will be used but if not I will use it in my home as a decoration
