Oh, and here is a cute bug. We called him George…I think he is an earwig of some sort.

A centipede last week by far. I screamed and ran across the house. They scare the crap out of me. Hell, most bugs scare me!
This is a bug I came across while hiking. I can’t decide if he’s gross or cute. I call him the “batman bug” because the black pattern on his back looks like a bat. 🙂
LOL I’m sitting in bed and now I won’t be able to sleep because I’ll be dreaming of bugs all night.
Anyway I wish I had a picture because we get ENORMOUS spiders at our house. If there is any spider I can’t stand it’s wolf spiders and we always have them around here. One day I was in our garden and I jumped about 6 miles in the air. I saw a wolf spider the size of a soda can that had eggs because her butt (or where ever they hold their eggs) was the size of a golf ball. It was the nastiest thing I’d ever saw.
The house I lived in before that always had centipedes. The house was built in the late 1800’s and the garage out in back was pretty much rotting and falling down (I rented the house). The basement was creepy and something you’d see in a Steven King movie. Every day I’d come home from work and there would be like 10 centipedes in the first floor. Either on the ceiling or crawling on the floor. Once I put my shoe in a slipper and one was in there. If there is something I hate more than wolf spiders than its centipedes.
So I know this thread is a little stale, but I wanted to post my picture!
This is a spider-like thing that was living in the accordian door that closed off my kitchen in Costa Rica:
It jumped down from the top of the door at me when I was cleaning one day and scared about two years off my life. In this next picture, my landlady and I had emptied a can of bug spray onto it (that’s the yellow puddle around it). The little brown smudge to the left of it is an average-sized spider that got caught in the Raid crossfire, which gives you an idea of the scale of the giant spider:
I hate those bugs…I don’t know what they’re called. They look kind of like centipedes, and they’re in a lot of peoples basements. I call them “death-fish.” I just hate the way they move. they’re so fast, and how they wiggle it’s almost like they’re swimming!
<shudder>
A friend of mine went around South America a couple of years ago and managed to get a Botfly larvae inside his leg. It lived there happily until it grew, and grew and… well lets just say he now has it (Fully sized) in a jar. Ewwwww.
