Since its yellow gold they don’t need to plate it but if the ring needs to be sized in the future it usually covers that , also gold is a soft metal it will not look like brand new forever and it can bend and warp after a while but this doesn’t happen to everyone but it is a possibility and it the ring bends to much or it cracks or gets a really deep scratch and they can’t fix it for what ever reason they will replace it for you

And also with gold prices rising and for what ever reason you need to replace it your probubly going to spend more money for a lesser karat weight 14k is standard now but it used to be 18k and slowly more and more pieces are being made in 10k  because prices are so high … You can always custom make rings in a higher karat but it won’t be the norm for jewelry stores. A warenty covers this

It will cover sizing, polishing out dings every few years (I would think) and that type of thing.  The warranty will likely be a LOT cheaper than replacing the ring if it gets too big or too small in a few years 🙂

I don’t know, but in my opinion, a warranty for a plain gold men’s ring is kind of pointless. My dad has worn his WHITE gold wedding ring (which is more maintenance than yellow gold in general) for over 30 years and never needed it fixed/buffed/polished/sized or anything else.
