I haven’t, but we are doing the Tough Mudder in a few months.  It sounds similar 🙂 Lots of running, fire, mud, etc.  and they greet you at the end with a beer! LOL!

A bunch of my friends did it.  Don’t be scared, just have fun and take your time.  There’s been a lot of accidents and even a death or two from these things (note: don’t dive into the mud/water pit), but stay hydrated and just take it easy.

Have fun though!!  For real.

@Button:  I did one this past weekend and I also did it last year!  It is a lot of fun!  Don’t be scared or worried.  I had friends who aren’t runners and one who never works out finish it.  They had a blast and walked the whole thing. Hopefully your dresses aren’t too long…I figure less clothes is best because you will get wet or muddy and the clothes will weigh you down.  Again just go have fun!! Smile

Did one today. I’m wiped out (should have had more than a banana for breakfast), but it was a LOT of fun. Since the wedding’s in 2 months, I took it easy- walked a lot of it with one of my girlfriends, and skipped one of the obstacles. I’m a little bruised (from one of the climbing walls, and the slide, I think), but no big deal.

Bring a towel with your change of clothes- SO happy I had the towel.

I’m training for mine in July, but i’m also running it with a cause in mind ( and a benefit). St Judes is offereing a hot shower afterwards to participants who raise $250! So far i’m at 50 bucks, but thats okay. Its my first time running it, but it should be fun none the less Fiance promised to be my “cheerleader” from the sidelines.

I did it last year.  Had a great time.  The course was super hilly (I guess since it was at a ski resort).

Fun crowd, fun obstacles.

I did the Rugged Maniac last September and will be doing it again this year, and it’s similar to the Warrior Dash. It was a blast! My plan was to take it slow so I could do as many of the obstacles as possible. I wasn’t doing it to get a world record or anything. It was pretty empowering too to get home that night and be like, “I just did a 5k with military-style obstacles and SURVIVED IT!!!!”

My boyfriend and his friends did the Warrior Dash this year and they said it was tough, but a lot of fun. It’s a little over 3 miles. They are also doing Tough Mudder this year (12 miles) and they are pretty nervous lol. I had a friend who did Tough Mudder last year and will again this year and she said it was one of the hardest things she’s ever done… And she had twins! lol. Plus she was covered ink huge bruises!!! But, she must have enjoyed it on some sick level because she’s doing it again 😉

I think I’m going to do the next Warrior Dash in my area in Jan/Feb.

I did Run for Your Lives (Zombie Mud Run) last year and now I want to do all the obstacle course runs. SO much fun.
