One of my favorite threads has been a “show off your planned DIY projects”! Now that I am on the other side of the wedding chaos I would love to see how everyone’s came out and looked at the wedding! I am also curios to see if you would do it all over again? Did people notice all the little details and hard work you put into it?This is our “rustic Alter” that we made.I made the girls tutus, my house was a tulle explosion!

So cute! I’m not very crafty but I have done some DIY stuff.
This is inspiration I got from Michael’s.
( the flowers )
This is how I plan on setting up mine (without the burlap so far)
Obviously not that straight either.. that’s just the idea lol.
I made my card box.
This will go on our guestbook/card table (scattered around) and I recently bought a silver “&” sign also.
And although I didn’t make the templates, I did hand cut all my invitations & RSVP cards (all 190 pairs of them!)
That was just the beginning..

@Hot_Sauce: Thanks guys! People either loved the alter or just didn’t get it! A few family members saw it before hand and said “that’s cute, what color are you painting it? ” 🙂

@ThinkingOutLoud: wow, I love it all! I feel your pain with the rsvp’s. Our invites came from Vista print but I hand tied them with twine and attached a leaf and it felt like it took forever and I only had 70 to make!

@Jlee28: Wow I love those! So cute.

This was my ceremony altar I made, probably costs around $150 for everything?

I’m happy with the results but I don’t feel the invites and sign were worth the amount of time they took to make.
But I have no regrets on any of my ribbon projects. I really enjoy all the ribbon projects because I can watch TV while I do them easier than any of the other projects. Plus stencils and cutting paper stresses me out more than I realized.

@Jlee28: Can you share the tutorial/instructions you used for your Flower Girl tutu? That is still on my ToDo and I love how yours turned out!
Great pics! Looks like it was a beautiful wedding.

@littlemiss604: love your alter! how did you make it?/ where are the materials from?

Our table names were tv series that we really loved… Frasier, The Wire, Sopranos, South Park, etc… 16 in total. We had a friend photoshop our faces onto the DVD covers.
I think its cool to see so many brides put this some DIY effort into their weddings. Good to know I wasn’t the only poor soul staying up doing these things 😉
