Well, I don’t really have many friends, but I have a lot of cousins of all ages.  And I’ll be the last one to get married out of them.  On one hand you can say it sucks, but I’m actually happy cause I’m taking my time to make sure everything is done right. ๐Ÿ™‚ (not saying they didn’t, idk honestly, I just feel like we’re getting married at the right time)

Within a certain circle of friends, yes.  I was already about 2 years younger than most of that group, and they got married straight out of college.  At 25 years old and a college graduate for 3 years, I’m an old bride!  ๐Ÿ˜›

within my age group, I am the last to get married. It’s annoying b/c I feel like my BM’s don’t take me seriously b/c they see me as a “rookie’. When I suggest things, they ALWAYS  say things like “well, a better way would be…” because they think they’re pros since they’ve all been married before. Ugh!

Of my 3 best friends, I am the third to get married. Fiance and I have dated the longest (by years) but 2/3 of them got married pretty early on in their relationships. The other friend will more than likely be getting married in the next few years.

My friends know how wedding obsessed I am (I’ve been planning since Fiance and I first started dating – don’t judge me, lol) so they’re really supportive with the whole thing even though they’ve already been there and done that. Every time we get together they ask questions about our wedding. They’re actually more supportive than I was expecting.

@mandb122: Oh, no one’s called me an old bride…it’s just crazy to think many of my friends will be celebrating their 5 year anniversaries around the time I get married.  After seeing me with a few Mr. Wrongs, they’re just excited to see me with Mr. Right.  ๐Ÿ™‚

About the “old mom” thing…when I was teaching high school, I had students ask me if I was afraid of that. I was 23 at the time, but since they were all getting pregnant at 13-17, I was going to be suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch an ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold mom someday!  *eye roll*  I’m sure by the time Fiance and I are ready to TTC, I’ll be ancient.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

We’re in our late 20’s and one of the last couples in our circle of friends to get married.

Wow….you’re only 23 and you’re the LAST one to get married?!

I’m 27 and I was the first!!

In my circle, people are all finishing grad school, getting started on their careers, etc before getting married. I’m pretty sure none of us will even consider children before age 30.

I think it really is regional, I live in Northern California and will be getting married at 26 and almost none of my friends are married. The ones that are, are all like 28+. A lot of my friends think I am too young.

I’m 26, and I am actually the very last out of all my close friends to get married. I’ve been a bridesmaid 4 times and my fiance was a groomsman once. One of my very best friends celebrated her 5th wedding anniversary last summer. 3 out of the 6 of us already have kids too…

Funny part of it is that my fiance and I have been together since before the first one got married… and we’ve been together way longer than all but one of my married friends. I guess it just takes longer for some people

I was a first time bride at 41, so…ummm..yeah, definitely the last of my closest friends by like 10 years!  I do have a few less-close friends who got married about 5 years ago and a couple still unmarried.  I do think people from big cities get married later.

For many years I was bummed about not being married/being the last.  I didn’t think my friends would be excited about my wedding.  Actually the complete opposite–since they have been done with weddings and kids for the past couple years, they were really supportive and into it.

I’m the last of all my girlfriends (I’m 28), every single one of them is already married w/ kids. FI’s (30 yo) friends are about 30/70- most of them are still single & like to party. I chalk it up to the difference between males & females for the most part :)P
