I think Kate looked beautiful, but I wasn’t really that impressed by her dress….I just feel like it didn’t have the “wow” factor.

I though she looked stunning and the dress was perfect for her. She doesn’t seem like the flashy type. It was classic and simply. Beautiful!

That is exactly what I would have worn if I were her. So yes, I loved her dress!!

My eldest daughter IS named Philippa and goes by Pippa. It’s a GREAT name!

I thought it was beautiful and fitting for a Royal Wedding- with the world watching. It was reported that she wanted her dress to be classic and not “trendy” for the time; thus when she looked back on it she wouldn’t cringe and think it was “too” 2011.

The more I see the video of the dress, its grown on me. It’s totally apporiate for HER and the occassion. I agree with what @MrsNeutrino
said, because my expection was it was going to set the new hotness trend, because the media has been pushing it for months. So I thought there’d be a frenzy similar to what happened with Carolyn Bessette’s dress which went against the grain of what was popular and introduced a fresh take on bridal styles. However, I also agree with @KatyElle
points as well. Kate didn’t owe “us” anything, because its her wedding (steeped in tradition) so ultimately it was exactly what it needed to be.

See my user pic to see my reaction just now when I discovered she was Philippa.
I had no idea Pippa was really Philippa. I thought Kate’s sister had the weirdest name for the longest time.

Stateside it tends to get mixed reactions… But I’ve loved the name (and nickname) since I was a child, so it had been set for many years by the time she was born (I did have a back-up in case she didn’t “look” like a Philippa). Actually, my Pippa looks a lot like Duchess Kate & Pippa Middleton — she could be their little (13-year-old) sister! — Yes. I had her at 23; I’m old!

Gorgeous dress, and a royal choice!

I think she looked stunning! She chose the dress that made her feel like a princess and one that is timeless.
Had she dressed Haut Couture there would have been a lot of negative coments from the royal family. This dress was perfect!
