This is one of my biggest fears….!
This is one of my biggest fears….!
Ugh me too! I have a sensitive stomach sometimes so this is my nightmare.
My mom was. She had the flu and was running a high fever for the wedding and a good part of the honeymoon. She said she only remembers bits and pieces from the wedding. I’m hoping to not be sick the day of the wedding, but knowing my luck, I’ll probably get sick. :/
I pray I will not be…my wedding is on Sunday and the illness that I was recently diagnosed with is flaring up. I am likely going to have to go on steroids starting tomorrow. Steroids that are KNOWN for weight gain in the face and stomach. I went to the hospital on Friday and can barely walk so steroids are my only hope! I am so upset. Please keep me in your thoughts!!
I definitely lost my voice the night before the wedding, you can imagine I had a partial (okay, full-on) panic attack. I did lots of Googling though and came across a miracle tea called Throat Coat. Oh my goodness, that stuff has a place in my house for the rest of time, it’s AMAZING!
The best thing that you can do is make sure that you keep up on Vitamin C, wash your hands like a mad person, and obviously don’t interact too closely with sickies. I work in a restaurant, so I know how hard that can be though.
I was… but it was because we hit the open bar a littttttle too hard at the rehearsal dinner. At least I had an evening wedding!
Nope, but I had the flu during my bachelorette party. I got my own hotel room and went back to the hotel while all my friends stayed out partying. I still had fun tho 🙂
My cousin was. They had him pumped up with cold medicine. He seemed to enjoy himself, but he was definitely exhausted by the end of the night! (I don’t remember all that well though, as I was 17 and totally crushing on one of his cute friends lol)
I have some chronic health issues, and was a little sick for my wedding. It was nothing that interferred too bad, but i was really glad that we eloped. If we would have gone through w/ a wedding, I would have been too self conscious and also felt guilty about leaving guests for a while. After we got married at teh courthouse, we ran around w/ our photographers for a few hours. Then we went back home to relax and be w/ our dogs for a few hours. I was miserable. I felt a little better before we met up w/ friends for dinner. I debated not going, but though I’d regret it (and I’m glad I went) but I definitely didn’t stay out late. I think it would have been worse if I wsn’t hydrated. The week I got married, I drank tons of water and tried to eat right
I have stomach problems. This is my biggest fear imaginable. The fact that I’ll be flying 14 hours a few days beforehand, work with children (aka 3 foot tall germ factories), and always get sick when I’m stressed doesn’t help…
I’ll be keeping LOTS of meds on hand… pepto bismol and stuff… and I won’t be shy about taking it at the first sign of trouble.
I am now worried about this…I have allergies and when they get really bad my eyes crust shut. I hate taking any sort of medication however I may have no choice:)
I wasn’t but my sister was throwing up the whole morning of her wedding. She was fine by ceremony time though.
Kind of. I started getting a really bad cough about a week before the wedding, and I remember stopping on the way to the hotel Thursday night to pick up some cough syrup. I was taking vitamin C, but I think the stress in the last couple months just got the best of my immune system.
Luckily, it eased up most of the way for the rehearsal and wedding, though I still took cough medicine a couple times to be sure I wouldn’t be coughing the whole way through our ceremony!
