We got nearly everything, so yes it was worth it.

Yes, worth it b/c it helps guests with direction & takes off the pressure of finding something they hope the couple will like.

But, I would suggest, for your sake, to only do 2 different stores; in my experience my friends that did like 4 stores spent soooo much time doing it, and most people went to the 2 more popular stores anyway.

I believe most of our ‘bought’ gifts were from the registry – there were a couple of items that weren’t (handmade blanket, etc), but those items have special meaning to them so it works! It was definitely worth it to us to register.

Don’t forget that some stores (Bed, Bath, and Beyond; Kohls) give discounts to the couple for everything on the registry AFTER the wedding is over and done with.

Bed Bath & Beyond also has free “gifts” for when you register for x-amount of items (it’s a mail-in thingy, but still worth it…who doesn’t like freebies?).

We’re gonna be doing a registry for the freebies (good incentive, in my opinion) and because we know there will be SOME people who will insist on getting/sending gifts.  This way, they can buy off the registry and mail it to us if they can’t come….

The info will be on the website AND it’ll be given to those who ask, ’cause we don’t care if we get gifts or not (we’d prefer they rent a cabin and stay the night, to be honest).

Yes, it was worth it, especially for the showers.  For the wedding we got a lot of cash, and if we hadn’t registered I’m guessing it would have been more cash, but we mainly got gifts we liked.

Yea, I got mostly presents from my registry. Only a few of my presents (so far) have been completely random. But most of those presents were actually worth it. So I would register, and at least you get a percentage off after your married for any unfulfilled items!
