Hi everyone! I am soon to be engaged, and curious: did you get a proposal, or was it more just something that you both came to mutually agree on?
My boyfriend and I are both deeply devoted people, we don’t do things without a purpose. I don’t really have a “proposal story”, it’s just something that we talked about, seriously considered and eventually decided we are ready to do. I could not ask for him to love me more, and he has told me dozens of times “I would marry you tomorrow”, so I guess in a sense you could say I’ve been proposed to multiple times?:) hehe…I pretty much hate surprises, so I am pretty fine with not having a proposal story. But everyone is different, and we all value different things.
Does anyone think the proposal is vital? Would you be depressed if there was no surprise factor when you got engaged?
I’m just wondering what it’s been like for other people? Also, even though I don’t have one of my own, hearing other people’s proposal experiences make me feel warm and fuzzy 🙂
