cbgg :  It’s not terrible, but I was 21 and an idiot, What I was in for. I lived in a naive little bubble of of this will be fine and easy and I’ve babysat I can do this. I think a lot of first timers go into it with all these plans and ideals, and then go holy crap what did we do to ourselves.

cbgg :  I’m very cynical and Darling Husband has really bad anxiety so we were absolutely prepared for the worst. I still roll my eyes when people same dumb stuff like you don’t know love til you have a child, that’s total bullshit. I know we would have been happy without any children but I’m glad we made our tiny human. Our debate over a second is almost completely based on money. I do know people who were like “babies are so cute, it’ll be amazing” and got a serious reality check.

I have always been so indifferent. When I figured I would quit dating and quit wasting my time I was pretty ok with the thought of no kids. But at the same time I never really had a family besides dysfunctional parents, and their spouses.

Now that I am with my SO, I want to create my own family and traditions being that I never had those things. I want something I never had and to give that to someone, such as a child.

I am not sure what I want when it REALLY gets down to the nitty gritty. But I think we will try for a familiy anyways in the next 1.5 years. Have one then see if I want another. Maybe I will know when it gets there.

cbgg :  I didn’t want a baby in the near term bc of some career issues but I wanted to have a baby eventually. I got KU by accident after one night unprotected w my Darling Husband. I am trying to be thankful despite the timing not being what I would have picked. Most women my age need to do fertility treatments.
