This might sound silly, but I’ve had proposals on the brain since the last episode of The Office…
Yesterday I was watching tv with my boyfriend and a commercial came on featuring a proposal. Background: we are planning to move in together in a few months and have talked in general terms about marriage.
So the commercial featured a cute fuzzy kitten with a message on his collar: “Will you marry us?”.
“That wouldn’t work on me,” I said. I’m very allergic to cats and slightly afraid of them because of it.
Then he asked me to remind him which date my birthday is. We had just met before my birthday last summer. When I asked why, he said “I’m going to get you a cat.”
That was a joke, of course, but…could he actually be contemplating proposing on my birthday? We are great together and I’m quite certain it will happen eventually, but I’m so impatient.
Am I making too much of this?

@Macintosh: He better learn the date of your birthday if he wants to be adding on an anniversary date anytime soon!
I think it could have something to do with the idea but it can take a while for that idea to become reality. Cautiously hopeful 😉

But knowing the straight-forward way a guy can think, the cat could have reminded him of a gift, thus, your bday. Or maybe it’s gonna be a kick a$$ birthday proposal. 🙂 Nothing wrong with hoping.

I think it means the thought has certainly crossed his mind, but it might not be a direct implication.
On another note, that commercial made me cry.

@miz fizzix: I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who cried from that commercial… lol
I’d say theres always a good chance (especially because proposals keep coming up right now) hehehe
