I’m sorry you had a horrible experience.  Mine was not amazing either, but was better than the sound of yours.  My associate was double booked and therefore spent most of her time with her other client and my SIL ended up helping me into and out of my dresses and had to go find dresses for me.  (She was the one who found my dream dress- not my associate. Who only brought me dresses and I didn’t like and were above my price range.)  However, like you I still managed to find my dream dress.

My recommendation is do not think about bridesmaid dresses in the strict sense.  I totally understand the budget thing as one of my bridesmaids in in the middle of an internship, and another has three children and only her husband’s income.

My bridesmaids will be wearing the Multi-Ways Convertible Dresses from Victoria Secret.  They are less than $100 and beautiful!  Think of other stores much of the same to find cheaper and with a greater variety style.  (Think: J. Crew, Department stores, Express, etc.)  It can save you a huge amount in comparison to DB and you have a HUUUUGE variety to pick from that way.  🙂

Happy shopping!  And best luck!

Congrats on the Marriage.  And Thank your husband for serving and protecting.  I dated Navy for several years.

Find me on FB if you ever want to talk 🙂

I am not sure if it had anything to do with your age but I refused to go back and buy anything from them, they act like they don’t have time for you inless they can force you to buy a dress. They just are crappy everywhere, I went to the Montgomery Alabama store and Columbus Georgia store.
