I’ve been off of BC since the end of August and Darling Husband and I are casually TTC baby 2. I charted when we were trying to get pregnant with my daughter but haven’t started yet this time. I assumed my cycles would be similar, but I seem to be averaging closer to a 25 day cycle now when it averaged around 28 before having a baby. I’m guessing I may be ovulating earlier then, too, but I don’t really know.
Does anyone who follows their cycle closely and already has one or more children know if their cycle changed after pregnancy/childbirth?

Mine have been different, but I am also still breastfeeding so that definitely has an affect. I’ve charted two full cycles and on number three now, and the first two have been very different. The first was 55 days with a day 42 ovulation, and normal LP. Second was 26 days with a day 28 ovulation and only 9 day LP! All over the place so far!

I am 10 months postpartum. I EBF and haven’t gone back on BC. AF returned at 8 months and I’ve had 2 cycles since then. I was always regular pre baby with slightly longer (~36 day) cycles. My last was 46 days. I don’t chart or anything, but I’m currently on CD 26 and generally feel like it’s going to be another long one.
I could never tell when I ovulated pre baby but the last 2 cycles, I have had very distinct O pains.

Nothing changed after my first child, but it did with my second. My symptoms (headache, water gain etc.) are more extreme when I get PMS. My period is more irregular now in length and consistency- sometimes it’s nothing, sometimes it’s heavier. I’m not concerned about TTC, as I have all the kids I want- but it is something I’ve noticed.

angelicwink: Mine used to be notoriously long for 35-40 day cycles and right before I got pregnant they dropped down to 25 day cycles and then back up 35 almost right on the clock since July. I got pregnant last April and gave birth this January.
