    No, he paid in cash.

No, he paid cash. But I don’t think my ring was exceptionally expensive either.

We financed a small portion of it at a low interest rate for credit building purposes.

Fiance opened a new credit card that has 15 months no interest. I’m not really sure why he did, because he has several times the amount he spent saved up in cash. But whatever he wants to do is fine. He could pay it off tomorrow, but since there’s no interest I guess it doesn’t matter.

I think he just wanted a good excuse to open up a new CC, because he only had one through our bank and then one through his work (plus one or two store specific cards).

No, but it would have been had my husband not gotten a settlement from a drunk driver rear ending him.

@Stephville:  No, and I’m very glad he didn’t! He saved up and bought what he could afford, and I’m delighted with it.

Nope. We put it on a card and paid it off in full at the end of that month. Don’t want to miss out on those reward points!

Darling Husband finaced mine for credit building purposes. The store had a “special” where you had so many months no interest and no penalty for early payoff so he just paid it off before the interest kicked in.

He did, but paid it off within 2 or 3 months. He had just taken a job with a higher pay rate so he knew it was doable.

@Stephville:  For both my original and my new anniversary ring, he/we paid on a credit card (that we pay off in full every month), so we could have paid in cash, but we like getting the credit card points for cash back!

My Darling Husband put down 5,000 and then paid the rest off monthly for like 4 months?  It was 0%.  This jeweler also keeps this credit line open for like 2 years or something so now my husband always just puts my jewelry on his account and pays it off so I won’t see the charges.

Darling Husband paid cash. We have a no loan policy on things except for cars to help build credit and eventually a house.
