Well, the title pretty much says it all. I have planned my wedding for the past year or so and stressed over all the big stuff and the small details but the one thing I can’t really control is how much fun it will be for both myself, my FH, and my guests. Now I’m only a couple days from the big day and was hoping to see if any bees out there had encouraging stories for those of us who worry about these crazy things we can’t control 🙂
*I know weddings are about way more than just having fun, but I can’t help having that feeling of wanting to throw a really great party!

Mine totally exceeded my expectations, by far. Relax and enjoy! You can’t control that part of the day. Everything will be great.

Yes, it was even MORE fun than I had hoped for! I know I’m soooo biased, but I have been to 3 weddings since my own and none of them even compared to how fun mine was! 🙂
ETA: Not saying my wedding was the best ever, just that I had fun because it was our day and it was everything I ever wanted in a wedding and all my planning went to great use. My friends had everything THEY wanted in their weddings so they loved theirs just how they were.

H and I eloped, well had two witneses (his parents). Believe it or not, the day was actually very fun! Not like pump your fist in the air and yell WOOOOOO! fun, but fun because it was in a new and exciting place and the pure giddiness of getting married!

We watched some of the video last night and when we were done I said, tearing up, ‘I want to do it all over again!!’. It was such an amazing time.

Our wedding was amazing and the people who came and helped exceeded my expectations.

Yes yes yes it exceeded my expectations, people still talk about it, AND even say we had the best wedding cake they’d ever had at a wedding. And let me tell you, planning a wedding in law school was tough on the budget, tough on the studies, tough on the brain. My Maid/Matron of Honor dropped out 30 days to the day before the wedding. Money was soo tight. We were unsure if we could afford alcohol 1 week before the wedding to stay within budget, and the groomsmen were talking about staging a protest if no alcohol! Come on- everyone is in grad school or had a good job, so it was crazy how childish it became. Darling Husband accidently poisoned one of our Yorkies that I accidently sat on, and we had to shuffle out $400 to save his life, and Darling Husband thought I wasn’t going to marry him b/c of it lol. That being said- day of was AMAZING!! Other than starting 45min late b/c I wasn’t ready and Darling Husband had a slight fear I may not show up lol. Oh, and the Yorkie was well and served as our ring bearer with our other yorkie as our flower girl!

My day was as fun as I had hoped and I was really worried because of the temperature. It was 96 degrees, but nobody complained and we had our wedding our way.

Sometimes, life is what you make out of it! Dont expect things to go perfect and you will have a blast. I am keeping that mentality for my late october wedding and looking forward to the most important thing of all…marrying my true love in front of God at a beautiful catholic ceremony. good luck!
