We’re staying at a hotel. We already live together, though, so it’s not “his place,” it’s “our place.” We want to make things special, sure, but mostly we’re staying in a hotel because of its proximity to our venue…and the fact that we have to be back there in the morning for brunch anyway.

Why do you keep saying “his” place? After our wedding, my Fiance and I will be going back to OUR place.

classyAmy:  I meant after you get married. Unless he’s stationed somewhere else or something like that, once you’re married doesn’t it become your place, together? When I’m his wife and he is my husband, we’ll be living in OUR home.

classyAmy:  We had a free room (Honeymoon Suite), since our reception was at a hotel, and it was included in our package

I did stay the night before at our house together, whereas some people stay at a hotel or just separately.

classyAmy:  Hotel. My husband and I are already married and live with my parents. So after our wedding ceremony in October (he is military which is why the actual ceremony is later) we will deff be going to a hotel lol.

classyAmy:  we went back to OUR place. Our wedding was very local (less than a mile from home). I am so glad we didn’t choose a venue that required an overnight stay at a hotel because it was amazing going home, and waking up as husband and wife and we had our normal sunday breakfast, I even did laundry the next day and we started to pack for our honeymoon since we were leaving that Tuesday

classyAmy:  To “his” place? That’s a weird way to say it

We spent our wedding night in a lovely hotel room.

classyAmy:  We went back to our place (which had been his place until that point lol). I moved in when we got married. We didn’t see the point of going to a hotel room as we wouldn’t be there long enough to enjoy it. We went to a nice inn the next night instead.

We went back to our home on our wedding night, it was great coming home and husband and wife and waking up the next morning in our bed.
