she sparkles more than ever! i did a lot of research as well as asked the Bees (of course) and with everything i read, i was ready to take the chance and wash my beautiful Maggie Sottero – Adelaide in the washing machine (local laundry mat) I did make a “cover” bag for her as to protect all the beading.
I used 2 long white banquet table cloths and kinda sewed them together and made a clothing bag. (which I can use again when i travel from Ontario to Nova Scotia for our wedding)
i used the gentle cycle and added woolite, in a front load washer. my heart was racing when i deposited the coins but there was no turning back now. i learned that “dry” cleaning does not remove all things from fabric, the most of which is “sweat”.
Although the bee that I bought my dress from (yes I bought a used dress) is a sweet girl, it’s still was on someone elses body, and i would do the same if I bought a sample dress.
she (my dress) smells so fresh and clean and is even brighter white now which is great, the only marks left on the dress are on the hem, which will be altered in a few months anyway. so i win!
Just had to share with you all 😉
