I just bought an LG front loading washer and dryer set December and I love them!  so much quieter and more water efficient than my previous set.

LG steam assists! they are the best thing ever! I wouldn’t trade them for anything else and I finally love laundry. Plus because of the steam I never have to iron 🙂 Delivery services where we bought them leveled them. They actually came back out when they weren’t level and re-did it too.

I love my LG front loading set, and do not have a problem with rattling.  I mentioned on another thread that I do leave the washer door open when there’s no laundry going, to prevent that funky mildew smell.  They are fab. Got mine at Sears!

@BunnyBrideToBe: agree about the smell, but that’s with all front loaders. There’s actually a tab that you can run through them to clean them every other month and then you won’t have the issue with the smell ( I used to sell appliances)

I used to work for Whirlpool and totally believe in their products.  They’re all made in the US, so getting repair parts will be easier.  They also make Maytag too, which I would buy if I needed a new set.  They’re made with commercial grade components and will last a super long time.  There was one in the testing facility when I worked for them that tested at lasting 75 years!  They may not be as “pretty” as some of the other ones, but they’re a really good quality product.

We have Samsung front loaders and are very happy with them.  They don’t rattle/shake too much and they are very quiet!

We just bought our first house and had to get all new appliances including a washer and dryer and we went with an HE Maytag. Cleans like a champ, but it’s loud only because we don’t have a lot of stuff (carpets, etc) to absorb the sound. Ours is the top loading washer without an agitator… I wanted a front loader, but if you don’t wipe it out/clean it/leave the door open it can smell and i didn’t want that, so we went this way. I love them. I can wash queen sized comforters no problem. The one thing is though, is make sure you use the correct load setting, otherwise it can be noisy during the rinse/spin stage, but I do love them so.

We have had our front loading Kenmore for almost 6 years now and it has never had a problem.

We replaced our washer/dryer in Dec and got LG! We have this set:
LG Front Loading Washer

We love it! Our laundry is on the third level of our townhome, in the hallway between two bedrooms, including ours. We can’t even hear it at night. If you overload it it occasionally vibrates a little but it has sensors so it stops and starts rotating in the other direction so it’s never really an issue (and only a problem when SO does laundry anyway) 😉 It was very easy to adjust and level as well. I am super happy with ours!

Oops I’m really late in replying to this.  I had a slight rattling problem with the washer when we first got them (I don’t have pedestals on mine and they sit side by side, not stacked), but it was because the installation guy didn’t level it correctly. Hubby fixed the leveling issue and now no more rattling!
