(Closed) Washing machine

That happened to our dryer once when I was little and my dad said he had to replace the belt? Not sure what that is or if that’s helpful!

Probably a belt, will cost maybe $20. If it is a top loading machine, turn it to spin, while the lid is open there should be a little slot that you could slide a butter knife into (this would activate the motor) then you would be able to see/hear if it is running and determine whether it is a slipped or broken belt or the agitator itself
