Baby was put on my chest right away, but the nurse rubbed pretty vigorously with a towel to get her stimulated and dry her off a bit while I was holding her. She pooped right away too haha. I had quite a bit of bleeding afterwards but I don’t recall there being much blood on her.

ccc_red:  as soon as my daughter came out, they placed her on my chest and she was covered in all sorts of gook lol, they then took her to get “cleaned” and by cleaned I mean they just wiped her off with a cloth, they didn’t give her a bath. THey gave her a sponge bath hours later.

My gf had her 1st baby in March and didn’t give her baby her first bath for 2 weeks. She just used coconut oil….She looked and smelled wonderful
