Are you getting married in DC? or just having a DC themed reception?  If you are looking to have it in March – then add Cherry Blossoms which are popular in the city that time of year. Depending on your venue, you could add things that reflect that place (is it at a winery, a golf course, a historic house, etc).  As for colors, it can be anything you want really.  If in Spring, maybe go with the pastel pinks, greens, blues, or yellows. Anything goes now-a-days!

You could go w/red, white & blue for colors, since it’s the nation’s capital (and my hometown LOL). I’d also maybe add pics (or replicas, but that’s really complicated to do) of the famous brownstones in Georgetown and other prominent DC neighborhoods like Adams Morgan, Woodley Park (where the National Zoo is) and Tenleytown (where American University is). For the favors, maybe you could find little boxes (or something like) in the shape of famous monuments and/or museums. Best of luck to you!

You could do red white and blue for DC or you could do something with pink (for Cherry Blossoms). You could do a lot of fun stuff with your invitations/programs/escort cards/menus
