(Closed) Washington DC wedding Venue HELP!

@wedding2014:  Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington and Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown (you must have a GU connection).

What part of the city and what size wedding/budget are you looking at? I can help with ideas.

Budget is going to be key here, but one is top of the town in Rosslyn. You have to pay for a parking attendant (which isn’t much) but they have their own big lot… Nice space too. I think the key bridge Marriott also includes parking as part of their package.

Is it not doable for them to park out on a line and metro in? There are tons of places accessible by metro

If you’re willing to look at the suburbs, you’ll have a lot easier time.  For example, my son got married in Rockwood Manor in Potomac, which had plenty of free onsite parking.

@wedding2014:  +1 on Rockwood Manor, lots of parking there. Another place not too far from DC is Woodend Sanctuary. In DC proper the Josephine Butler Center near Meridian Hill Park has parking too, it is small but if you valet they can fit twice the number of cars.

My venue has free parking onsite but you have to import everthing yourself for an event (caterer, florist, etc.) – Newton White Mansion (Mitchellville, MD).

St. Francis Hall, Glen Echo, Milton Ridge, and The Ballroom in Bethesdahave free parking. In addition to Rockwood, the other Montgomery County-owned venues also have free parking.

@wedding2014:  If budget isn’t a terrible concern (with 400 people, maybe it isn’t), have you thought about the Music Center at Strathmore (in Rockville)?  Close of 270, 495, and they have dedicated parking in the Grosvenor-Strathmore metro garage for free on weekends.  There is a sky bridge connecting the garage to the lobby.

Have you looked at Foxchase Manor in Manassas, VA? That’s where I am having my wedding and they can accomodate a guest list of 400. Parking is also free! 🙂

@wedding2014:  Not in DC, but Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, MD has A LOT of parking.

@wedding2014:  I recommend the University of MD Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. This space is a hidden gem in the DC-MD-VA area. My friend recently married there and she loved it. Plenty of free parking available for large weddings!
