how much do you want to spend?

costco and sams have lots of really nice watches. you could consider a used one, too, and have a jeweler buff out any scratches. i want to get my guy a nice watch for christmas but i’m thinking in the $300 range. no tag heur for him yet =].

I was in Neimans, there is a really nice looking David Yurman one … not sure what you want to spend. My fiance has a Cartier … it’s beautiful.

I personally have always been a big fan of fossil watches for guys … they’re great for girls, too! And they’re moderately priced.

Pulsar makes really nice watches, too … http://www.pulsarwatches.com

omg, my good friend has a citizen eco-drive and it’s totally amazing…

never needs batteries, so though it’s a little pricey, you’ll never have to do costly repairs etc.

That depends on the price range.  I just saw nice ones from Burberry, and they were about $300, not bad for a watch.  I’m not into name brands enough to care about the Burberry part though.  Also, I’ve heard that Tag is really good.  I think that’s a really good gift!

How often will he wear it?

I’ve been thinking about upgrading mine to a really nice watch….if he wears it every single day, you may consider something a little nicer, like an investment piece. If he’ll only wear it for special ocassions, you may not want to spend so much. I’ve had the SAME WATCH on since i waas 16. It’s very nice and classy looking (it’s actually a Roxy watch) but i can’t wait to upgrade to smoething very nice =]

I bought my fiance a Movado from Amazon for Christmas. Costco and Sam’s usually have a nice selection of watches too.

Well a Tag Heur price will set you back about $1,000ish. I really want to get my husband one, but knowing him he’d be just as happy with something else.

I have had my eye on this one for him for awhile. I love that it’s ceramic but am unsure if he’d dig the light blue dial.

Here is the other one I really like for him

I think it just depends how *much* of a splurge you’re talking. A $400 watch is nothing to scoff at, but a nice $1200 Tag Heuri is a super splurge!
