Do you have a picture of yours? If it’s fit & flare, do you think the “flare” might be a nice compromise and give that bit of poof? I know what you mean about second guessing, I’m doing that with flowers right now based on something he said!! It’s hard sometimes to get past what we hear our fiance or sometimes our friends & family say. But it is true that you know what looks best on you. And when he sees you, he’s not going to be worried about the poof!!

Don’t do this to yourself!
A few months ago, I showed Fiance a pic of a Monique Lhuillier that I liked, and he said, “She looks like a mummy. Like she rolled herself in a bed sheet.”
I showed him the same pic last week, and he said “Ooh, pretty!”
THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING AT.
He probably just thought you wanted him to have an opinion, so he gave one.
You are going to be beautiful, and that’s all he will see.

I would be shocked if he saw you in your dress in person and was able to identify the dress as being that style. 😉 Your dress is stunning and you are going to be beautiful in it. That is what your lucky groom is going to be focusing on!
+1 That is too funny!

Lol sounds like fiancé
Go with your gut! I originally picked my dres based on my fh taste and I was miserable. He does not like a lot of poofiness or very over the top wedding dress, while I am the opposite! I was unhappy with my dress bc I settled, so I got a new one to make me happy. After all it is my wedding as well
i think you should stay with your original dress, if it is the one of your dreams! He will love it the day. My friend told me that before she got married her hus and told her that all brides look the same, why was she making a big deal about her dress! Well the day of the wedding when he saw her for her for the first time, he said that he was wrong, she was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen. Your fh will feel the same no matter what dress you are wearing 🙂

thanks everyone for your kind words, i do loveeee my dress, i mean im positively in love with it, whats got me tied up is that i feel the same about him.. yes my dress is right up there with him! sometimes i spend more time looking at my dress then i do looking at him, and hes a fine looking piece of man! here is my dress ive posted her a few times so im sorry if you have seen her before
its a tulle gown with some rhinestone beading, i do loveeeeee tulle, and this is the only time i can wear it without looking like a crazy person
sorry about the weird pose, i was adjusting myself and im not wearing shoes so im shorter there than i will be in my dress *im short to begin with-every inch counts to me*

Keep your dress! After looking at the photos, I think your trumpet/fit and flare dress has a big enough skirt. I thought you were wearing a sheath dress or something. Your FH really would not be able to tell the difference between a ballgown skirt or what you have! I also prefer your current dress to the ball gown you posted. 🙂

I bet that when he sees you in it, he’ll think it’s perfect. (And honestly, with the volume in the ‘flare’ of your dress, I bet some guys wouldn’t even really know the difference between that and a ball gown, sadly… haha.)
Your dress is beautiful! He’ll realize how much he likes fit and flare when he sees you in it.

youre dress still has thefull skirt, it’s just dropped waist and it looks gorgeous on you. I’m sure he’ll be floored when he sees you.

Keep your lovely, fit-and-flare poufy dress, and go read that thread Zouave posted! Honestly, as long as your the one in it, he’s not going to care. And the dress is big enough on the bottom to slide into the ballgown catagory for most men!

OH PLEASE! DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT MAN. He hasn’t seen you in the dress you picked out yet!

I agree with the previous posters… Dudes don’t really know, and in the moment I think they only see “their bride”, the dress is secondary. and your dress is GORGEOUS! Go with your gut, lady!

The dress is for you to wear. And he will probably forget all about the TV show…. For the love of peanuts…. don’t let him see another one! LOL

Thank you once again ladies, and thanks for a few laughs along the way lol. Fiance and I had a little heart to heart dress chat, and you are all right, he is pretty much happy with whatever I wear as long as I’m not wearing running shoes.. you know in case I change my mind and run! Also he has promised never to comment on wedding dresses again till after our own wedding! All is well in the world again.. Thank God! I probably would have just gone out and bought another dress if it weren’t for your support. I love my bee’s <3
