I’m in the planning stages of my wedding as well and thought about using the beads.  I bought a small package from the Hallmark store just try them out (I don’t recommend buying them from there because they are way over priced…I’ve seen them online for super cheap).

The beads came out and looked really cool; however, if you want to put any water in the bottom of your container/vace, it makes them almost non-existent (I sampled it using the clear ones, though).  See the picture below (I was trying to see how they would shimmer in the candlelight I plan on using at each table).  The picture below has no water in the vace.

They also took a whole night of soaking to get them the size you see in the picture.  They last for a really long time, so I would suggest soaking them well in advance of your event…adding water as they start drying out (I think it’d be a pain to soak them the night before your wedding).

I still haven’t decided, but I’m kind of leaning toward this look instead (my colors are black, white, and light pink…so I’m thinking the hard boiled eggs will look great).  Am I way off base on this one?  I dunno why I like it…maybe because it’s so unique.
